How to Use the Ghost Filter on TikTok

The term “ghost filter” may be a bit confusing as the effect used in these videos does not actually have anything to do with ghosts.

What people are using is the AI Manga filter. To use this filter you are supposed to take a video of yourself or your friends and the filter will turn you into a personalized manga character.

However, what some people discovered is that if you record a video of a room with only inanimate objects (no people), the filter will often generate a manga character out of something in the room. It might be an object or even some weird shadows.

This is being called “ghost hunting.” Essentially, TikTok users use the filter to generate images of these ghosts.

If you want to get in on this trend and start finding ghosts:

1. Step 1

   Open TikTok and tap the plus icon to create a new video.

2. Step 2

   

   Tap Effects on the left-hand side.

3. Step 3

   

   Under Training, find the AI icon.

4. Step 4

   Tap the AI icon to apply the effect to your video.

5. Step 5

   Now record an empty room to find a ghost.

And that’s it. Be mindful that you are not guaranteed to find a ghost, but that’s because ghosts do tend to move around a lot.

However, there are some people out there who doubt how real these ghosts are, despite all the evidence.
