This post will go over several ways that you can try to fix the activity feed error on Instagram.
What to Do if Your Insta Activity Feed is Gone
If your Instagram activity feed refuses to show up, there are a few things you can do to try to fix it. Try the following:
-
Restart the App
Fully close out the app, then relaunch it to see if that fixes the bug. While this is the simplest solution, it doesn’t always work.
-
Restart your Device
Instagram suggests that if you are ever having issues with their app that the first thing you should do is restart your phone or tablet. This will typically fix most problems.
-
Uninstall and Reinstall the App
While this can be an annoying step, especially if you need to log back in, it can be easily enough using the App Store or the Google Play Store (depending on your device).
-
Switch Your Account to Professional
Many Instagram users have found that if they switch their account to professional, then back to personal, their activity feed will return.
-
Reset Your Password
If none of the above options work, a few people online have figured out that resetting your password will occasionally give you access to your activity feed again.
-
Check Third-Party Apps
Occasionally, you may have a 3rd party app that is interfering with your Instagram account. Try to determine if anything that would access the Instagram app has recently been updated. You can also deactivate and reactivate the apps one at a time to see if you can figure out what’s wrong.
-
Create a Second Account
You can also try to create a second Instagram account and interact with your main account with it. By switching back and forth between the accounts, some people have been able to reactive their feed.
-
Contact Support
If all else fails, contact Instagram’s support to see if there is something they can do to help.
