How to Find my Twitter URL

Knowing your Twitter URL not only helps others find you more quickly but can also boost your number of followers, especially if you have quite a following on other platforms, like YouTube and Instagram.

Is a friend or a follower on other social media apps asking for your Twitter URL, but you can’t find it? Getting your Twitter URL is easier than it seems. You can do it both on a desktop browser and phone. To find out how you can obtain your Twitter URL so you can share it, read on.

Your Twitter URL is essentially just the Twitter website (Twitter.com) plus your username at the end. It’s something like this:

If your Twitter URL is easy to remember, you can just share the link to your Twitter profile page by typing https://twitter.com/username. It’s that simple. To avoid retyping the whole thing next time, you can save your Twitter link on your phone’s notepad or messaging app so you will only have to copy-paste it.

However, typing out a whole link can be time-consuming, especially if you have a Twitter username or one that’s quite hard to spell or remember. You need to get your URL right or else the person who clicks it will be taken to another profile or a webpage that doesn’t exist.

The solution? You can simply copy-paste your username. While you can’t copy and paste on the Twitter app, you can get it on your profile. Do the following steps:

1. Step 1

   Open the app and log in to your Twitter account.

2. Step 2

   Click your profile picture, which you can see in the top left corner.

3. Step 3

   Select “Profile” on the menu.

   

4. Step 4

   On your Twitter profile page, select “Edit Profile”.

   

5. Step 5

   Highlight your Twitter username and tap “Copy”.

   

6. Step 6

   Paste the username you copied on your clipboard to another app, say a notepad. And then put the Twitter web address before it.

Another way to find your Twitter URL is to use the “Share” button on your profile page. However, this option might not be available for all mobile users, as this feature is usually only present on Android phones. If you still want to know how you can find Twitter URL on your profile page, follow these steps:

1. Step 1

   Launch the Twitter app, and go to your profile. You can use the guide above to find it.

2. Step 2

   On your Twitter page, tap the three dots icon on the top left corner. On other devices, it might show up as a hamburger (three horizontal lines) icon.

3. Step 3

   Select “Share”.

4. Step 4

   Choose “Copy to clipboard”. If you can’t see this option, choose Direct Message and send the link to yourself.

5. Step 5

   You will see your Twitter URL in the messaging field. Copy or Cut the link, but don’t include the characters that appear after your username, such as “?s=09” which you can see on the image below.

   

Finding your Twitter URL on a browser is easier and more straightforward than it is on the app.

   Go to Twitter and then log in to your account.

2. Step 2

   On the left sidebar menu, select “Profile”.

3. Step 3

   Copy the link on the browser’s address bar by right-clicking it and selecting “Copy”. Alternatively, you can also press CTRL + R on your keyboard once you’ve highlighted the link.

   

You now have your Twitter URL. Now, what?
